Cheri Hayen has lived in Manhattan since 1981. I have always loved art but not until a few years ago did I discover a love of pottery. I have three sons, two of which also enjoy working with clay.

I do hand built and wheel thrown pieces. This piece is an elephant ear leaf. They grow well in Kansas and the leaves become huge. I like to use leaves to embellish my thrown pots to give them a more organic feel.
