For the past couple of decades of my artist career, I have been creating art work using the medium of Pointillism. But unlike the familiar form of pointillism that uses blank ink on white paper, I create artwork that I lovingly refer to as Full Spectrum Pointillism as I use every color in every color in every color combination I can imagine. What most people don’t understand about my artwork, is that I NEVER use computers in any way to create my art, and that the entire image is comprised entirely of tiny dots placed, one at a time, by hand…no lines, no shading. While time consuming (a single piece can take up to three years to complete), I find that pointillism is perfectly suited to a color loving, slightly off center perfectionist like myself, and that my artwork provides the viewer with a vividly colorful image, and a secondary reaction of fascination once they discover the piece of art if brought to life with nothing but hundreds of thousands of dots.
