Print on paper with hand press – Galvanic etching technique
Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Amanda graduated from William Jewell College with a BS in Art & Art History. Studying abroad in Lincolnshire, England she came to love artists from the early Industrial Revolution, such as J.M.W Turner and William Blake for their dreamlike quality and emotional intensity. Amanda enjoys oil painting on canvas but loves the challenge and element of surprise when doing block prints by her hand press. She has sold other pieces from her collection which consists of many landscapes and a Christmas card series.
She and her family moved to Manhattan over two years ago and quickly called it home. Her husband is active duty at Fort Riley and is busy with his medical practice. They have two little girls, one of which also wants to be an artist. As a family they love to travel and ski.
